Prashanti Educational and Welfare Society, Ujjain: Bringing Hope

Prashanti Educational and Welfare Society, Ujjain

The Prashanti Educational and Welfare Society, Ujjain, is an NGO that helps people by facilitating education, health, and social care. It is a non-political, city-based non-profit organization that strengthens its beneficiaries mainly in Ujjain, a city of Madhya Pradesh, by concentrating on children, women, and poor families. We try our best to ensure that everyone learns and grows.

Many of the challenges faced by children and adults are rampant in the rural sections of society. Schools are either nonexistent or do not function properly, and food and means of livelihood are also scarce. That is where we fit in. Supporting programs, training, and learning centers are set up for a better living of their lives.

Our Vision and Mission for Ujjain

We believe it is the right of every individual to learn and to live well. To this end, the Prashanti Educational and Welfare Society, Ujjain, seeks to create a world in the future where no one is left behind. One such vision is to:

  • Provide children with free or low-cost education.
  • Train youth and women for jobs or self-employment.
  • Organize health and wellness camps for needy families.
  • Support communities through various social and welfare activities.

Prashanti Educational and Welfare Society, Ujjain: Focus on Child Education

Helping Children Learn and Grow

We have schools and tuition centers for those kids who cannot afford formal education. These centers are safe places for them to learn and play. We teach them the three R’s–reading, writing, and arithmetic; then we also teach drawing, music, and sports.

Classes are full of fun, stories, games, and songs to keep children excited about learning every single day.

School Supplies and Support

Children from poor families seldom have school bags, books, or even uniforms. Therefore, we provide the following:

  • Free books and stationery
  • School uniforms
  • Midday meals for good health
  • Exam preparation assistance

Prashanti Educational and Welfare Society, Ujjain: Teaching Adults Too

Adult Learning Made Simple

Most older persons in the countryside are not well educated. We have established simple evening classes to teach these people how to read and write and how to do basic mathematics. These are important for the following:

  • Reading signs and medicine labels
  • Signing names instead of thumbprinting
  • Prices and money’s fine to use

Learning for Women

We particularly aim at women who have never had the chance to attend school. We teach them about:

  • Health and sanitation
  • Child care and nutrition
  • Saving money and family planning

Prashanti Educational and Welfare Society, Ujjain: Skill Training for Jobs

Helping Youth and Women Earn Money

We offer training courses for unemployed individuals. These programs teach skills that enable individuals to seek employment or to start their own enterprises.

Here are the training areas:

  • Sewing and Tailoring
  • Beauty and Wellness Services
  • Candle-Making and Handicrafts
  • Mobile Maintenance and Computer Literacy

Digital Skills for the Future

Without a doubt, today, computer knowledge is fully and completely essential. Our training centers provide:

  • Learning Tally and other software for office jobs.

Prashanti Educational and Welfare Society, Ujjain: Focus on Health and Hygiene

  • Free Medicines for common ailments
  • Suggestions on diet and exercise.

Clean Living Habits

We teach families how to remain clean and healthy. This includes:

  • Using soap to wash hands,
  • Drinking clean water,
